I have a couple of wonderful dolls that I decided to change because I felt that is what they wanted. I now keep them for models so that I can make doll clothes for other dolls that I know will fit these My Rag Dolls!

I had to remove her embroidered face and
I re-did it in a much smaller style.
It now looks closer to what the My Rag Dolls' look like.
But since I had to replace the face with new material
I did not feel that she was worthy to be sold.

this is what she did look like

And here is my boy doll.

Here to my boy doll, I had painted his face with
acrylic paint and tried to take it off, most of it did.
I still needed to replace the whole face with new material,
you can see where around the next line that
some of the special glue shows through.
I then embroidered a new face for him.

Both my dolls are much happier with their new looks!

 Hello All!

Long time since I actually spoke besides just posting.

I have been making loads of dolls and have enjoyed all of it.  I have moved about 4 times since starting this blog. How much fun is that! I am now semi-retired - that is I hope to get another job at home at some point in time. My last move was to a beautiful lake, and I can easily see the water. No not lake front, I am old and have no reason to be on the water, we do have access to it, makes the grandkids happy.  I also get into bird watching looking out my dining room window. I see different woodpeckers, and so many other birds at the feeders.

I have slowed down on my sewing because I need surgery on my palm for dupuytren's contracture next week and also waiting for testing for carpal tunnel for both my wrists and unfortunately the pain goes all the way up my arms. This makes all my hobbies very hard to do. From sewing and cooking and baking to painting and carving and painting eggs. I can do a little of it but even typing on the computer has made it very difficult and painful. So has using my cell phone, about ready to plug in my home phone and only use that! LOL no joke!

So now I am going through my dolls and am looking at just posting the ones that are ready for sale and not make any new ones until I after I get fixed and can do it once again, and possibly get a at home job. I am hoping by the grace of God and his wonderful blessings that it will be a quick fix and not a long-drawn-out process.  I am sure that there are a few dolls that I can finish up to put up for sale, without too much trouble.

Since I truly believe that I will go nuts totally without doing anything I am going to try my hand again at Chinese brush painting. I used to do it years ago and since it is done differently, with your shoulder rather than your wrist to hold and paint with the brush maybe I can do it without too much pain.

Well that is all for now and I will up you updated as to how things are working out.

Until next time enjoy your day!

Looking at her back side.

Here is a new doll that I have made up. I played with some of my older patterned dolls, that I didn't quite like and revamped her and now have a new pattern that I am very pleased with!  I have named this style of doll my Heirloom Doll.  You can choose the color of skin tone and hair color.

This little doll has Pale Flesh skin tone, Red hair and green eyes. She is in a Christmas dress, green ribbon belt and dark green felt boots and a red string tie on the boots. She is 13 inches tall. Perfect size for anyone to play with or just sit on a shelf, lay on a bed, or wherever!

This doll is 13 inches tall and very easy to ship. At this time my Etsy shop: Ranaelynndolls will not be shipping outside of the United States. I have to make sure I have all the information needed to ship out of country.

Here is my other Christmas Elves. These ones have painted faces. Every thing else is the same. While making these six dolls I was able to figure out the flaws in my design and.  There will be some major changes to the pattern and the hair. The other things will be the same. The bell on the end of the hats, charm necklaces, a charm for Moonlite Creations and a Moonstone gem in each doll.  Here is the collection.

Here is my first Christmas Elf.  I have made up enough for 6 elves  with my pattern to check it out. This one the face is embroidered, her hat has a bell on the end. All will have a necklaces and a charm along with a wrist charm for Moonlite Creations.  I will also have within the body a moonstone gemstone which goes along with my name Moonlite Creations.

I am working on some very funky Elves for,

Elves on the Shelf!

They don't have a lot of fashion sense, but this is what makes them so much fun.  I am working on their hair, ears, velvet hats and shorts, string for their boots, and I have some trinkets for each along with some other final things to make them special.

She was a Greek Goddess of Sailors.  She is 18 inches tall to the end of her tail.  Let me know what you all think.

Here are some new dolls that I have done.  My Raggedy Ann's.  They are all handcrafted with care. Yarn hair and bow or ribbons in their hair. Hand painted and embroidered, with special touches of buttons, ribbons and bows.

White Lady

These three ladies I made from my own pattern I call them Onesies.  They are around 17" tall.

WOW can you believe it ?? It has been a couple of years since I added to this blog.  So Sorry.
I have had a lot of things happen in the last couple of years.  My father passed away two years ago and I believe that when I went to live with him is when I quit doing my blog.  I haven't been that active actually since then until just a little while ago when the Covid-19 came along and I actually started back up.  So now I wish to get things a little back up to date and thought I had done more here but I see that I didn't.

I have made a few new dolls but haven't really seen much with them. I will post the different one's or at least as many as I have pictures of.  I wasn't that good at it but I had a hard time getting into doing my dolls.  I didn't get a new sewing room up until this year and it is not where I want to end up.  I plan on making it in another area of the house and used the bedroom that I am using now for a bedroom again.  But time will tell.

Thanks RanaeLynn
